Her "Tiny Beautiful Things" book touched my heart, and her words still find their way into my consciousness in key moments of my life. Especially her take on the boats not taken - so relevant to midlife. I also didn't know it at the time, but reading her "Wild" book helped lay the foundation I needed when my mom grew ill and died just a few years after I read it.
